保湿剤 (Hoshituzai) - Moisturizers
クリーム (Kuri-mu) - Moisturizing cream
The final step in Japanese skincare routine is moisturizer. If you don't do anything else skincare-wise then you should be using lotion and emulsion at the very least. Moisturizing will help sooth the skin and keep it hydrated throughout the day.
乳液 (Nyuueki) - Emulsion
Emulsion is a lighter version of a moisturizing cream and contains more moisture. It’s not as light as a serum, but not as heavy as a cream. Emulsion is seen as applying a barrier on the top of the skin. Locking in all of the nutrients and hydrating ingredients in the lotion and serum.
