I switched to this for winter after using a lighter hyaluronic acid toner/lotion in the summer. For my dry (not sensitive) skin, it's rich enough but not heavy or oily. I'd say it leaves a satin finish, although with the accompanying emulsion, between satin and dewy. I haven't noticed irritation or texture changes with it, although if you're sensitive to niacinamide it's not ideal.
